Double Board Certified in Pain Medicine & Physical Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Nguyen is a native of Southern California and has completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA with a BS in Microbiology & Immunology. Later, he obtained his MD from the University of California, Davis and attended UCLA | Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare for his PM&R residency with the distinction of being selected as chief resident. He underwent additional training with the Pain Medicine Fellowship at UCLA, and became double Board Certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine. Post-training, Dr. David Nguyen practiced pain medicine in New York City for several years prior to returning to his native sunny Southern California.
He brings with him more than a decade’s worth of experience in treating acute & chronic pain conditions, opioid management, and interventional pain procedures. His focus is on improving his patient’s function and quality of life. From his background in Physical Medicine, he believes that wellness comes from within and centers his practice on empowering patients with the tools to improve their quality of life. He also offers image guided injections (ultrasound, fluoroscopic), spinal nerve block, radiofrequency ablation, epidural steroid injection, neuromodulation, and regenerative medicine. He believes in a multimodal approach and individualized treatment plan to provide the most optimal care for his patients.
He is married and enjoys the outdoor by hiking, swimming, snowboarding, and especially camping with his young & growing family.
